Looking to grow taller?
Then you’re in the right place.
Because today, I’m going to show you 8 simple tips you can start doing to increase your height.
The best part?
Many of these tips will work, EVEN if:
You have a short family, or
You’re a full-grown adult.
Let’s dive right in.
What to Expect
If you’re wondering how to grow taller, there’s one thing to remember:
Genetics does play a role.
And unfortunately, we don’t get much of a say in how the genetic dice roll for us before we are born.
Thankfully though, it’s possible to grow more than you think.
…and sometimes, even years and years after you hit puberty.
It’s even possible to get taller at 18, after your growth plates have fused and you have reached your genetic potential maximum.
Not only is it possible to grow taller long after you thought your last growth spurt had expired, but it’s also a lot easier than most people think as well.
Sure, you’re going to need a little bit of dedication and will have to make a couple of changes to your daily routines if you want to see consistent and permanent height increases.
But as long as you’re willing to take advantage of the inside information I highlight below, growing anywhere between 2 inches and 6 inches or more taller will happen a lot faster than you thought possible.
Height Growth Tip #1: Sleep is EVERYTHING
Right out of the gate, you need to be sure that you are getting just as much sleep as humanly possible.
This is to not only to improve your overall height, but also to improve your overall health and well-being.
Researchers have conclusively proven that going to bed late every night, particularly between the ages of 10 and 15, significantly reduces the amount of human growth hormone that is released into your body.
Your body needs to be asleep between midnight and 3 AM to get that natural hormonal cycle going the way it is supposed to .
Cut corners when it comes to sleep – especially as an adult – and your already diminished levels of human growth hormone are going to dwindle even more.
Height Growth Tip #2: Supplement Your Body with HGH (Human Growth Hormone)
HGH has gotten a bit of a bad reputation over the last 15 years or so.
But only really because professional athletes have been abusing HGH supplements as performance-enhancing drugs – cheating their way to success through the help of cutting edge science.
Regular folks like you and I can take advantage of HGH to help rebuild our muscles, to help lengthen and limber our bodies, and to help generate a little bit of extra motion in the growth department (particularly when you’re elevating HGH levels in younger children) .
Now, there’s a world of difference between finding ways to naturally elevate your own HGH and supplementing your own HGH with synthetic sources.
Natural HGH increases triggered by nutrition are always going to be the way to go.
Synthetic HGH can cause a world of serious health issues, including some potentially life-threatening and life altering diseases.
The right amino acids, proteins, and vitamins (like vitamin C, calcium, and vitamin D) will trigger a natural biochemical cascade of reactions that increases your HGH and helps your children grow more than they might have otherwise.
It also helps older folks (older than 30) with already naturally diminished levels of HGH improve their protection of this hormone in the pituitary gland, too.
Height Growth Tip #3: Consume Foods That Make You Taller
I’m sure you’ve at least heard of foods called “super foods”.
These are the kinds of foods that can dramatically improve your health and your well-being.
But it turns out these same foods that make you grow taller as well.
Now, you probably know that the food you put into your body fuels EVERYTHING.
Put in rocket fuel and you will feel like a billion dollars all day long and will grow taller.
Put in garbage and you’ll, well, feel like garbage – and certainly will grow any taller at all.
Pineapple adds extra melatonin to your bloodstream, helping you sleep easier at night .
You’ll be able to hit that “sweet spot” between midnight and 3 AM for hormonal production, and that means more natural HGH will flood into your body.
Quality beef includes a whole host of amino acids essential for building stronger bones .
Stronger bones are almost always naturally longer which means you’ll get what a bit taller, too.
Chocolate – believe it or not – also helps to stimulate action in the pituitary gland where HGH is produced .
We’ve already touched on just how beneficial HGH is when you’re looking to get taller and any food that floods your system with more HGH is a big piece of the puzzle.
Children should be supplementing their daily diet with extra calcium to grow longer and stronger bones and the elderly should be doing the same for the same reasons.
Adults looking to squeeze a couple of extra inches of height into their lives will fall in love with everything that extra calcium has to offer.
Height Growth Tip #4: Fall in Love With Yoga, Exercises, and Stretches
Only is yoga one of the most popular forms of exercise today.
Particularly for folks that want a relatively low impact routine to follow, it also is one of the fastest ways to add a couple of inches to height to your stature.
And it can make you taller years after your last growth spurt has occurred, too!
A recent study conducted by researchers at UCLA have conclusively proven that yoga has a multipronged impact on increasing your height.
Not only does it help to stretch out your body – releasing all kinds of toxins that build up and constrict your muscles (and make you shorter) – but it also helps your cells and hormones to start working more effectively which naturally increases growth rates, too .
Yoga also has the benefit of dramatically improving your posture which helps you to look much taller nearly instantly.
You may not actually “grow” after a couple of weeks of daily yoga practice but you’ll look 2 inches or 3 inches taller because your posture has improved so much .
A variety of yoga positions are designed specifically to strengthen your back and improve your spinal alignment.
Again, these kinds of positions are necessarily designed to help your body grow anymore but instead maximize the height potential that your day-to-day habits and way of carrying yourself have “shrunk” your body unnecessarily.
Blood circulation increases, the amount of fluid found surrounding your spinal discs increases, and the cartilage surrounding your spine also improves .
All of these are going to work to “puff up” each individual vertebrae and collectively if they all gain 1/8 of an inch or so you can expect a couple of extra inches in height almost instantly.
So make sure you look into exercises to grow taller.
Height Growth Tip #5: Book Regular Massages
Just imagine how nice your life is going to be when you book a number of regular massages – maybe one every other week – AND are able to dramatically increase your overall height at the exact same time .
Sound too good to be true? It isn’t!
Not only will regular massage help you to relax and unwind, but you’re also going to be able to break up lumps and clumps in the facia of your muscles that might be constricting your height as well.
When your muscles are tightly wound and constricted they are naturally much, much shorter .
This tightly wound collection of muscle fibers inevitably works into an almost rock solid surface – a facia – and all but cements itself into position unless it is manually worked out by professional masseuses.
By breaking up your muscular facia, working out knots, and relaxing those trigger points that are constricting key muscle groups (particularly in your back) you’re able to release a lot of extra pressure and gain a lot of extra length – which translates into height – almost straight away.
Height Growth Tip #6: Stretching Periodically Throughout the Day Helps Too
While regular yoga sessions and massage are essentially stretching on steroids it certainly won’t hurt to stretch your way taller throughout the day, either.
Every single person has 33 vertebrae in your spinal column, and each individual vertebrae sits inside of a gel filled intervertebral disc that operates kind of like a “cushion” or airbag.
Over time, these discs naturally compress.
This is why we all are a little bit taller first thing in the morning after laying down on our backs all night compared to standing up all day and letting gravity pull us down .
Stretching for about five minutes two or three times every day throughout the day helps to eliminate a lot of that decompression.
Hanging from a pull-up bar in a doorway, bending all the way down to grab your toes and then arching your back, and bending side to side for 30 seconds at a time is usually more than enough to combat the regular compression that’s going to happen just because of gravity.
Make this a daily commitment and you will be able to reverse the impact gravity has on your body.
The reason you see so many older people that are inches shorter than they were in their prime has a lot to do with compression – something that can almost always be totally (or nearly totally) reversed with regular stretching.
Height Growth Tip #7: Get Your Hands on an Inversion Table
You have no doubt begun to notice a pattern with many of our tips to grow taller focusing on stretching your body out and reclaiming the maximum level of height your genetics dictated before you were born.
This little trick is going to require an investment in your time and in your cash but daily inversion therapy with the help of an inversion table is a game changer.
The idea here is to take advantage of gravity in a way that stretches out your body and decompress is your spine compared to how it works when we are walking around upright.
You’ll be able to create extra space between your vertebrae, improve the cushion between each individual vertebrae, and “cement” improved height with just a couple of 15 minute sessions on a daily or semi-daily basis .
There are all kinds of inversion table options available on the market today (some better than others) but a little bit of digging, little bit of research, and a little bit of due diligence should land you the perfect option for your needs and your budget.
Height Growth Tip #8: Resort to Leg Lengthening Surgery (as Your Last Option)
Limb lengthening surgery is not for the faint of heart.
In other words: It’s not for those that aren’t willing to spend a small fortune to grow taller, and is definitely not for those that aren’t willing to go through a long, arduous, and risky recovery process to squeeze out a couple of inches in height through the power of modern science.
Limb lengthening surgeries used to be considered “last resort” surgeries to help those living with serious debilitating issues and conditions, but today they have a lot more in common with cosmetic surgery than anything else .
The idea here is to quite literally crack your bones in your legs (ALL of your bones) in half surgically, insert metal plates and “stretchers” to facilitate increases in height…
…and then slowly crank your legs apart as new bone grows to heal your body over a 3 to 6 month block of time .
It can take A LOT longer than that to relearn how to walk normally after the surgery, however, which is a big reason why so many people decide not to go in this direction.
Surgery is certainly one of the fastest ways to add a couple of extra inches to your height but it isn’t at all without serious risk and potential life altering complications.
On top of that, you can buy a pretty decent brand-new vehicle for the same amount of money as limb lengthening surgery will run you – and this is anything but a procedure covered by your insurance.
It’s only in the spirit of total transparency and fairness that we even decided to keep this “trick” in this quick guide.
Honestly, you’re much better off looking into all of the other tips, tricks, and tactics we’ve shared above to help you grow a little bit taller than rolling the dice and hoping for the best outcome possible with this invasive and sometimes crippling surgery.
